Description

Ponge 5 and crepe de chine natural silk differ in their texture, drape, and overall feel.

Ponge 5 silk:

very light and thin;
the surface is smooth, soft, with a slight sheen;
the fabric drapes beautifully;
usually more translucent.

Crepe de chine silk:

more dense and slightly heavier;
the surface has a subtle grainy texture;
less shiny, looks more matte, and has a restrained luxurious feel;
less translucent;
holds its shape better, making the scarf look more solid and less slippery.

If you want a very light, flowing, and translucent scarf, Ponge 5 will be more suitable. If you want a richer, more elegant, less translucent, and slightly more luxurious feel, choose crepe de chine.

CARE:

Silk products must not be drilled, rubbed or machine washed.
After rinsing, roll in a sheet, press and iron when barely damp.
Sometimes, the water may (not necessarily) lightly discolour the product during washing – there is no need to worry about this, as the colours of the product will not fade.
Silk absorbs odours, so it is recommended to air out silk products before putting them in the wardrobe.
